Dear friends, fellow authors, book launch followers and wannabe writers.
I did it and I’m an old brain. So, you can too.
Happy new year to you, I hope it brings everything you are hoping for.
I finished 2018 only just accomplishing my goal of publishing book two of my Fortune Seekers series before the publishing companies stopped for the holidays.
It wasn’t just one book that was published in 2018, it was four!
I had been unhappy with the content, length, cover and editing of Dan and Charlotte, so made an arrangement with the publisher to have it republished, (fortunately at their expense as they hadn’t edited to a certain standard.
Because the first version was 600 pages, I decided to remove part three and republish it in the second version.
Then followed completing book two (entitled Under the Thumb.)
Below is a photo of my cover and Youtube video promotion artist, Ingrid Gane, who has done a tremendous job for me.
Then followed my next challenge – learning to self publish without using a publisher (saves hundreds of dollars by the way). I set up BrownePublishing, worked through the steps on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and Draft2Digital ebook publishing, and published both novels with two new covers and using a pen name (Annie Browne).
This new series will be added to in 2019.
For those of you living locally in Queensland, I have a book release function with my author friend, Jack Kregas at my Country club lifestyle village on January 19th at 2pm. Jack and I will resent helpful information to wannabe writers who are curious or beginning their writing journey. With my many ups and downs writing these last four years, you are correct in imagining I have heaps of blunders and learning curves to share. I hope you can come and join me.

For my friends and families who don’t live close enough to travel to Noosa, (Queensland, Australia) copies of my books are available to buy online through Amazon.com and Xlibris.com, including Amazon.com.UK, and Amazon.com.US. Also, all other international book-ordering sites have ebooks for downloading as well. (Kobo, Google, Barnes&Noble etc.)

I will be at Christchurch, Westport, Waikanae, Taupo, Auckland, Whangarei and Kerikeri late February until mid-March.
With flight weight restrictions I am limited as to the number of books I can carry for those of you who want copies. Therefore, I will be ordering books from Dan and Charlotte and Under the Thumb series, having them delivered to my Mum’s address in Christchurch. Books will cost NZ$25 per copy, including freight from the U.S.A.
Please, if you do want to buy your copies from this NZ order, confirm by email this week so the book-order can be placed and delivered to Christchurch before 18th Feb. Payment can be on pickup or by deposit into my bank account if you would like me to post them from NZ. Just let me know your preference when you reply, and I’ll forward the details.
To end, I have to pass on news of the little addition to our family – Trev and I have a gorgeous silky, Maltese Terrier, Shih-Tzu puppy, which we have named Annie. It is going to be a wrench leaving her with my friend and her dog for the fortnight we are travelling, but she will be okay. She loves Ingrid and her dog Benji.
I’m looking forward to seeing many of you this year, either in NZ or later in the year when Trev and I become grey nomads again and travel Australia for a few months.
I will be writing as we go.
