The end of October is here, and the rewritten version of The Fortune Seekers – Dan and Charlotte is completed. The publisher is completing formatting. The cover change is being worked on. Revised edition is only days away.
So, why have I spent nine months revising, changing, altering, adding, checking, editing, then editing again? Reading aloud, sentence by sentence. Checking grammar over and over again.
One reason only- I was disappointed in the standard of editing in the first edition. Being my first novel, I didn’t have the experience to see the errors. Once identified, I wasn’t able to live with them.
Despite readers loving the story, most telling me they haven’t found the faults. But once I knew they were there, I simply had to fix them. Hence the months of revision.
Now, it’s almost ready to be released, replacing the first edition that is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kindle, Xlibris.
Instead of 600 pages, it is now 400. Part four is no longer in this version, as it is a better read in the second book of the series. (Now well underway, expected to be published early 2018.
so, the countdown is underway, keep watching . . .
